Holding his own

We've all heard that so-and-so can hold their own. What does that really mean? Andrew's figured it out!

After the bath

Andrew got a present from Auntie Liz a while back... his very own lounge robe! It's been too big to fit him, but not any more! Thanks, Liz!

I can turn!

Andrew can turn around! See for yourself with a 11 second video clip (3,788K). (Special appearance by Maruko's tail!!)

Dazed and confused

Why is there that slightly confused look on Andrew's face? Well, about 15 seconds before this photo was taken, he was still on his back. Yes... call him "flipper," call him "waffle," or call him whatever you'd like, our little boy figured out how to turn himself onto his tummy today. It was quite a shock for us to see this!!

Also, I kinda feel ashamed... Andrew, the 4 1/2 month old, figured out what all my basketball coaches and skating buddies have been trying to drill into my head for years... lead with the hips! Andrew has been trying to turn around now for a few weeks, but he kept getting stuck about three-quarters of the way around. So what secret did he figure out today? He kicked his leg out and torqued his hips, and then his body just naturally followed and turned around. What a concept!!

The worrisome part of this whole thing is this: today officially ends the period where we can reliably know exactly where Andrew is at all times. Up 'til now, he would remain where you set him down. Now, even thought he can't crawl, he can "roll." It isn't much, but he can now move sideways 12 inches at a time. We'll see how long it takes for him to flip back...

Photo session

Brought out my photo background and lights the other day to take some photos for the Chung family (see some results via the links section to either Kelly and Janelle's site or Kelvin and Adah's site. Here's one of Kathlyn and Andrew we took at the end of the session. I can't wait for Andrew to be able to sit up... may have to leave the lights out permanently to take more and more and more photos!

Who's yo' daddy?

Same floppy ears, same stupid grin... just 30 years apart!

Andrew's enjoying his brand-new Excersaucer! He played with one at Kelvin and Adah's house, and fell in love with it. We had to get him one... Andrew's already had lots of fun discovering all the new toys!
